Cashco flame arrester 6A00 is an independent safety system designed to meet explosion protection requirements in hazardous environments.
The flame arrester is installed either at the end of a pipe system or “inline”.
The main purpose is to allow the flow of gases and vapors from flammable liquids while effectively stopping any further spread of flame.
The internal, pleated stainless steel element is based on the principle of a "quenching gap”, which means that it acts as an extinguishing barrier; it absorbs the heat energy from an ignited gas mixture and thus prevents the flame from spreading to the protected side.
